All Dresden wanted to do was make a buck, he didn't know that just being in business would lead to so much trouble. OK, sure, maybe that business is slightly-perhaps-kinda-sorta illegal. And maybe he kinda-sorta-potentially pissed off a lot of powerful people. But when you are one of the best Trapsmiths in Ithran, you can get a lot of business. And business was Good. That is, until one of his traps worked a little too well, killing off one of his customers who got too close to a trap during a demonstration for potential buyers. Not really being much of a salesman, Dresden always thinks that actions speak much louder than words, and the action he did in that instance was get out of there as fast as he could. Born to a Noble Human mother who had an affair with a Tiefling Merchant (whom he has never met), Dresden early life was spent mainly indoors, away from prying eyes and gossiping neighbors. There he read all the books he get a hold of and quickly starting making miniature traps at home to catch bugs and mice. Eventually his mother became concerned that her son was not being properly socialized, and enrolled him in a local fencing league. There he become fast friends with another student who in turn acquainted him with the Crafter's Guild, where he was apprenticed in alchemy and herbalism. While he found his studies interesting, he was drawn to the more sinister aspects of the fields, such as alchemist's fire and various poisons, and building on his experience making traps as a youth, eventually started creating traps for wealthy patrons all over Ithran, working for both the Law and for various Crime-Lords. He prides himself on his Neutrality, not taking one side or the other, which annoys the town guards but is most appreciated by the various Thieves Guilds he has worked for. Now on the run for a crime caused by his own hubris, he took any help he could get. Help came in the form of a Pirate ship that Dresden stowed away on, The Dark Rose. Hoping to remain unnoticed among the rats until he could get to foreign lands, he was eventually discovered by a Aasimar Sorceror named Uriah whom he convinced to keep him aboard the ship as crew. After working for some time for the pirates, and telling Uriah all about his travels on dry land, Dresden and Uriah left the pirate crew at the last shore leave, and joined an adventuring party at a local tavern. Dresden and Uriah have since parted ways, and now he travels with a different Party around the city of Tirenes. Looking at Dresden leaves a man with no illusions that he is anything Human. His skin is a navy blue and his hair is oddly spiked, covering up small, vestigial horns. His body is tone but not buff. He dresses in unassuming attire, typically a simple grey traveling cloak with an off-white scarf.
