Bullet Point - From a small rural community in the western part of Breland, Seri manifested her mark a few days after her birth. - In a drunken stupor, her father spoke of it in a local tavern, where a more worldly thief thought he could make a quick fortune. - He killed Seri\'s weary parents, and planned on selling the infant to a daelkyr \'researcher\' in Droaam. - The thief was haunted by the child during the trip, and he fell under the spell of a harpy flight. He didn\'t survive the trip. - The harpies\' leader, Callain of the Bloody Wind, took the child in, seeing possibilities in her mark. - Seri grew up amongst these monsters, under the harpy\'s care. - At the end of the last war, the harpies made the child leave her home. The flight would try and usurp power from the ruling hags. It would be a long process, and Callain\'s logic told her that Seri would be more useful amongst the lesser races. - She eventually found herself in Sharn, and caught the attention of House Tarkanan. Likewise, the amount of information she could gain about her mark made their offers tempting. - Up until now, she has worked with the House, serving as a useful agent. She continues to receive news from her sisters and found that she may be of use spoiling things for the hags by injuring The Daask. - The Boromar\'s offer could not have come at a better time. --- History -- Seri\'s birth was a short lived pleasure for her parents. What had at first looked like an odd birthmark quickly became an odd pattern of red claw-like markings. This aberrant mark was an enigma to either parent, one that they quickly grew to fear. Months after her birth, both would suddenly lose their grasp on reality when holding her, in the worst cases attacking each other and even the infant. They began to see strange, maddening patterns in her mark and slowly came to lose their grip. In desperation, her father would try to drown his sorrows in the closest tavern, a decision that cost him his life. He was murdered, along with his wife, after an opportunist he\'d just befriended took him home. At hearing the father\'s troubles and seeing the child\'s mark, this foreigner didn\'t think twice before killing them both and taking Seri. He had heard of a wizard in Droaam that would make him a wealthy man for such an \'oddity\'. Seri still an infant, cried during the whole trip through the mountains. Though the bandit ignored her, he coudn\'t do the same with the \'curse\' that had driven both its last victims to the edge of despair. It was as if he was constantly fighting to keep his thoughts his own. This distractions made the trail much more perilous then it already was and he didn\'t survive it. He stumbled into a group of harpies and was torn apart. Seri, however, was taken to their leader, Callain of the Bloody Wind She took her in after some consideration, for she realized that the infant might be worth more then a day\'s meal. So Seri grew up amongst the monsters, the harpies became her sisters. Reluctantly, they tolerated her too, for it was best not to cross their Callain. It was a brutal upbringing, but she grew into it... and thrived. At 16, her presence inspired respect amongst the ogres, her silver tongue gave her equality amongst the harpies and her magic made her mother proud. By her orders, Seri left Droaam to live amongst the other species and was told to make herself useful. She was to act against the Hags, just as the flight was, but from the outside, where her featherless skin would be an asset. She was to see life from her specie\'s eyes. Seri loyally obeyed. Though she found many wonders in the human world, its frailty was something she has yet to get accustomed to. After dealing with her sisters, she found those around her so easy to dupe that she was ashamed to share their race. Nevertheless, she adapted and became what they wanted to see. To their eyes, she was an exotic foreigner, one that was best not to cross and who\'s marking\'s inspired fear and suspicion. She found this amusing. She eventually reached Sharn and found others that were truly like her. House Tarkanan accepted her and her mark in a way that no other humanoids had before. She was thrilled, that growing scar on her right hand had always been a mystery to her and the House gladly gave her what answers it had. With the skills she had learned from her flight, she fit right in. She\'s still in contact with Callain and her sisters, though the Sivis agents always see her requests as odd. She\'s learned of the hags trying to reach out through The Daask, and finds herself in an odd position now, as attacking them directly would anger the House. The Boromar\'s offer though, could not have come at a better time. For her mother, for her sisters, the hags will see that the Wind Howlers care not for their supposed power...
