It was all wonderful, and being a dragonwrought, he managed to stay there through quite a few generations, watching the village grow over time (mostly populated by kobolds, workers looking for different opportunities). However, the dragon uprising brought about a weird fenomenom (sp?). Not like other villages, which might be torn down or burned appart or raided... This village, with a sorcerer who's name is at least slightly known thanks to time and a few magic tricks, started having kobolds and goblins try to recruit kobolds with (obviously) fake promises of gold and things. Not only a promise of jobs, but religious and other promises. It was gradual, it wasn't noticible... but by the time they noticed, it was too late. Most villagers were enslaved (more than usual kobolds), striking down those who tried to speak up or run away. A few of the stronger people, joined by goblins and the like, were brainwashed... They striked quickly and took over the rest of the resources of the villages. This advisor got away, barely, thanks to the lives of the few people that remained loyal to him...
